Keynote Presentation: Colin Nicholson

Topic: Understanding what the “Aggressive Investor” thinks and does.

Colin is an investor, author and teacher of investing skills. He has written five books: The Aggressive Investor, The psychology of Investing, Hot Stocks 2007, Hot Stocks 2008 and Building Wealth in the Stock Market. This last book is for release in May. He will reveal his new book by teaching some of the material in it.

He has invested in and traded shares on the Australian market for more than 35 years since the late 1960s. Since April 1987, he has been self-employed, investing and trading his own money, teaching and writing. His approach is that of an aggressive investor, looking to take advantage of trends running from several months to a year or more.

Title: How Good Investors Think Differently to Beginners

In his books The Aggressive Investor and Building Wealth in the Stock Market, Colin identifies some ways in which good investors think, which sets them apart from beginners. He will discuss some of these traits, which if developed can improve investment decision-making and therefore investing results.

Title: How to Buy a Young Bull

Colin Nicholson will discuss how he phased out of the 2003-2007 bull market as a prelude to a discussion about how he will go about phasing into the next bull market. This will focus on Dow Theory Phase Analysis, the Coppock indicator and basic trend analysis.
